Day 2 - 20 days of me series
This is a series of posts that give you a better idea of who I am. I found the idea from Living off Love and Coffee's blog post but instead of 30 days, I'm only committing to 20. I Googled to see if there were another origins for this idea and found many '30 days of me' posts but this one I liked the most so here we go!
Day 2 - What is the meaning of my blog name?
I use my full name for my blog so there is no "hidden" meaning there but I do get asked a lot why I have squirrels everywhere.
Years ago I met a fast friend, Cara. Even though we were in our late 20's we behaved like teenagers, it was great! I don't remember where the idea came from but I suggested to her that we should have superhero names.
I found a website that generates superhero names and began working on a good name for Cara. Since she loves Jeeps and her Jeep handle was Mudbug I wanted something with Mud in it.
After several attempts, I finally found the best name, Mud Prowler. Her superhero vehicle was, of course, a Jeep. Her superpower was shooting mud missiles. Cool, right?
Before I told her what I created, I sent her to the same site and put her to work on my superhero name.
What does she come back with? Obsidian Squirrel. A black squirrel? Really? Oh, and what is my superpower? Giving people headaches. Yes, you read that correctly. What about my vehicle? That's also top-notch - a sea-horse. A sea-horse riding, black squirrel that can give you a headache. Woo-hoo.
Since that time Cara has given me squirrels and squirrel related items like pajamas, mugs, salt and pepper shakers, Bluetooth speaker, stickers, handkerchief, earrings, croc thingys, etc.
Now I have other friends that see all my squirrel stuff and also buy me squirrels.
Really I have no one to blame but myself, I'm the one that suggested it.
